How it works:
By buying your piece of land, you become a ‘Laird’ in Scottish law, widely accepted as the equivalent of ‘Lord,’ although the most accurate translation is ‘owner of Scottish land.’ The female equivalent is ‘Lady’. Thus you are entitled to call yourself Lord and Lady.
